Windows 7 Beta expiring July 1, 2009 for me. Help please!

I'm currently running Windows 7 Beta, Build 7000. I recently received a message from the taskbar saying that my Windows 7 will be expiring this coming July 1. I thought the RC only expires on July 1, 2010. And my calendar is set on the correct date and year. Should I download the latest RC from Microsoft again? Could someone explain why mine is expiring a year early?

The beta is not treated the same as the RC is. They are different builds and are being treated differently be microsoft.

I recommend either diwnloading the the RC from microsoft.com (build 7100) or the latest build (7260), which is considered an RTM, from a torrent site.

is there a way to remove the 2 hourly auto shutoff? Or maybe avoiding having to do a full reinstall of the OS?

I'm using Win7 64 Beta 7000. I'm happy with it; but would love to be able to extend the "life" of this build; not having to re install.

Actually the latest build out is 7264.  you can dl the vinylzine torrent.  Just search for it, you have to do a clean install though, but microsoft has a link to save all your installed programs and files
