Even though Windows 7 has been out for over 2 years now, and I’ve probably written several hundred posts on this site about it now, there’s still new little things that I learn every day with it. This latest little trick I’ve discovered is how to quickly get to properties.
Normally if you want to access a folders properties, you have to right click on it, the select properties from the context menu. But not anymore! Now all you have to do is hold down the Alt key on your keyboard and double click the folder.
It’s just as simple as that!
It works with pretty much everything that has a properties menu and it also works within other programs as well. In fact it turns out that this isn’t unique to Windows 7 even, it actually works on all Windows operating systems back to Windows 95.
Well that’s my last little trick for 2011, I’m sure many of you already knew about it, but for those of you who didn’t at least you can say I taught you something this year!
Happy New Year to you all and hopefully I’ll be back in 2012 with more Windows 7 news/guides/tips/themes etc.. for you!
