In case you missed it, Apple revealed another “revolutionary” and “magical” device called the Magic Mouse back in October 2009. It was the first ever computer mouse to incorporate multi-touch capabilities. Taking its cue from Apple’s other touch devices; the Magic Mouse allows a user to interact with OS navigation by swiping, swooping and pinching to their hearts content.

I will go on record saying that the Magic Mouse is absolutely beautiful and visually the best-looking mouse I’ve seen, but totally impractical (remind you of any other Apple products?), so it makes me scratch my head when I hear reports from istartedsomething.com that Microsoft may also be potentially following suit by creating and releasing their own version of the Magic Mouse.

Straight from istartedsomething’s website:
“Microsoft might be introducing a multi-touch mouse of its own tomorrow as several European retailers (specifically those in Norway and Denmark) have begun publishing listings for a product dubbed the ‘Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse’ with the product code RVF-00003.”
It also appears that Microsoft has even purchased the domain “arctouchmouse.com”, which currently points to Micorsoft’s own Bing search page. As the author notes, this may be a way for users without a touchscreen PC to take advantage of Windows 7’s multi-touch abilities.
Multiple source’s guesstimate that the arc mouse could retail for around $70.
Are there any Windows 7 users out there interested in a Magic Mouse for their Windows OS?
