Windows Live Messenger Now on iPhone

Hours before Apple released the fourth version of its iPhone operating system Microsoft has released IM app for the iPhone.

Here is some of the content that was introduced. A screen is devoted to Windows Live and lets you follow your friends in the network. It offers space to update your status, and change your profile picture. There is also a small button also take you into your e-mail in-box.

Near the center of the App your buddy list appears. This lets you add friends. You can also select them for chatting, profile-perusing, or e-mailing.

You also have a chat screen. It keeps tabs on your ongoing conversations. Switching among them is easy. Push notification lets you know when you get a new chat, even if you’ve closed the App. Producing the password will get that started.

The last screen presents options for taking new ones and uploading photos. Additionally, your online Windows Live gallery is available to view. You can also caption photos and e-mail them along.

What is Messenger?

Messenger is a way to stay in touch with friends. You can see the social updates your friends have shared. Share photos while you chat. Talk in real time with video chat.

Messenger is part of Windows Live Essentials. It includes free programs for Photo Gallery, Mail, Movie Maker, Writer, Family Safety, and Toolbar, plus Microsoft Office Outlook Connector, Office Live Add–in, and Microsoft Silverlight.

Just sign in to Hotmail, see who’s online, and start chatting  from almost anywhere there’s Internet access.

SkyDrive: allows you to save and share photos while you chat in Messenger.

Photo Gallery will let you create photo albums that you can share with friends in Messenger.

While some of these applications are not yet available on the iPhone apps set, one can see where Microsoft would like to go with this.
