It’s really great when ordinary people get involved in creating stuff for Windows, and with the new themes that can be created in Windows 7 it makes it even easier for people.
Richard Hay, just some guy from somewhere in the US has created a special Windows 7 theme for today’s Memorial Day holiday.
The images he’s used for the desktop theme are some quite lovely shots of flowers from his wife’s garden.
The Memorial Day weekend, always on the last Monday in May celebrates and commemorates US soldiers who have died while in military service. With the recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan this will bring more meaning to people than ever before.
It comes also as the UK is celebrating the 70th anniversary of Dunkirk where over 300,000 British and French soldiers were rescued from Nazi-occupied France in 1940.
You can download his theme here.
