What’s wrong with Internet Explorer 8?

Some Instability!

How many other folk besides myself are having problems with IE8’s instability?

In my recent blog “Doing and Doing” several comments were made, not in relation to the actual content of my blog, but instead serious complaints were made about the stability of IE8.

One commentator suggested the problem is with Windows 7 News website itself but I would have to disagree with that. I mostly use Mozilla Firefox to access it  with no problems at all. I suggest the fault may be caused by some glitch in IE8 itself.

I am pretty sure the problem is not with my computer setup. Everything is running fine. I have IE8 installed on three computers, a desktop, a laptop and notebook and experience the same problems with all three. For no reason at all, it freezes and I have to shut them down completely. However, I should  add this problem appears to be an intermittent fault but it has been happening for some time. It is interesting to hear of other folk are suffering from the same problem.

I’m sure the fault is not with my computers as they are up-to-date and are well laden with RAM and all three are running Windows 7 Home Premium.

This erratic behaviour by IE8 has caused me to reject it as my major web browser and use Mozilla Firefox which a stable product.

They say “a picture tells it all“.

Well, here are three pictures, in sequence showing the problem I have with IE8.

As Alice said something like this; “It’s curiouser and curiouser . . . ” but all this happened when I was writing this blog using IE8 and logged onto Windows 7 Update. After this I gave up IE8 and swiched to Mozilla Firefox to complete this article.

So there you have it, three pictures telling the story!
