How to Import and Export Bookmarks With Transmute
If you are like me, you prefer to use one browser over the others. For me, that browser is Google Chrome. I use it for my daily work, but on occasion I will use Internet Explorer, especially if I have to enter a secure Microsoft Site. Other browsers just will not work well.
But I have found that when I use other browsers, I start to look at my bookmarks to access different sites, only to find that they are not there. Moreover, the import operations that I’ve used when I’ve installed a new browser have not gone as well as I would like. But now there is a third-party program, Transmute, that will do the importing and exporting for you. Here I will show you how to import and export bookmarks with Transmute.
Start the download, and when complete run the msi program to begin the installation.
Next select the destination folder to put the program.
The third step in the installation process is the Ready notification.
Now begin the installation
Complete notification
Go to the Start Menu to launch Transmute.
The Transmute Program on the screen.
Notice the Source and Target buttons. They are saying the source bookmards are coming from Chrome, and the destination browser is Firefox.
The warning indicates that you could lose the bookmarks on the destination browser.

The preview shows what the source and target paths look like.
After the import/export operation is complete, you can see what other possible browsers can be used for the source and destination.
To access Transmute download the program here.
