This is funny. You have an app to turn off the biggest improvement in Vista/7 and take it back to the old horrible clunky way. :)

I love this quote: "The Start Menu is inconvenient and uncomfortable to open programs or commands."

Yes, it was. Thank God MS finally got rid of it, and put in something that's more user friendly.

Windows 7's start menu and taskbar is better then Windows Vista and XP's start menu and the taskbar.

The search funtion does help me find things more easily. Shutting down your computer in Windows 7 is better because it's a one click shut down. Press start then shut down. Windows Vista's is also one click shut down but too much buttons. In Windows XP, you need to press two buttons to turn off your computer or restart. Press start-turn off your computer then shut down, sleep or restart.

I don't need the expanding when you click on the All Programs that shows in Windows XP. It's classic. But the one in Vista and 7, you click on All Programs, it doesn't expand but opens up in one place, which mean it makes it more easy on the eyes.

You can tell that Windows 7's taskbar is animated.

Well, one reason why the XP start menu sucks is because I have to click several times just to search for something. In Vista/7, I press the start button and start typing. Instant search results.

I still know people with windows 98 and 2000 computers. And they like them just fine.

Anyway, if it's not broke, why remove it? Granted, I'm not a fan of the classic start menu, but there are people who like it. You don't like it? Don't use it. Let those who do like it use it, and those who like the new one use that. We're all happy.

You are not the only who likes the new Windows XP/Vista/7 start menu. I like the new Windows XP/Vista/7 start menu too. In my high school and college. All of their Windows XP computers uses the classic start menu and classic theme. I hate it! But, memory comes back that I used Windows 98. It's time to move on! The new windows theme and the new start menu are more nicer!

Windows 7 has a one-click shut down button. Windows Vista has too much power buttons but it has a one-click shut down button. Windows XP requires you to shut down your computer two times. One is click on the turn off your computer button then click shut down.

I no longer use the Windows 9x start menu style. Microsoft have removed it from Windows 7 and they said, it's time to move on! Windows Vista was the last version of Windows to have the classic start menu.

That classic start menu add-on to Windows 7 is super ugly! eww, this makes a little confuse for me.

If someone do want to use the classic start menu. I may tell Microsoft to place the classic start menu for Windows 8 as an option.

"The Win 7 start menu is uncomfortable and inconvenient to open programs in." And complaining about the the start menu search function???? Ummmmm. This program looks cool and might be a fun change, but either one is much better than the old xp menu. Does anyone really think the old (xp style) start menu is better than vista/7's? Maybe just for nostalgia's sake.

I really don't like that - looks terrible in my opinion. I'm sure many people will love this, but I am not one of em. I'll stick to the default Windows 7 start menu/taskbar. much better.

Because some people like the look and simplicity of the original start menu. Others like the new one. We all like different things, why not make everyone happy?
