Hee heee.. let's see how well you believe that when I hack out your root password and format your base drive… Doesn't take a rocket scientist to do it on Linux or even on OS X which Mr. Jobs does his best to hide. Root PW is GOD and if you know where to look it's easy to kill the entire system remotely.

Obviously this security expert is a Microsoft fanboy. You know what, I'd get into it but I'd just start another never ending Linux vs. Windows argument. I'll just end with this – any recent Linux Distro is 100% more secure than any Windows version.

Firefox still the best….I will never use IE.

as for chrome…maybe I will use it once in a while but speed is not a big factor to me.

I personally don't think IE is safe at all, I build websites and half the time IE 6-8 want me to re-build a new template that works for IT, Fx, Safari and Chrome all load just right.

Thus yes IE 8 is just Firefox and Chrome.

Where the **** are you from dude?

Whatever people say about IE8, I believe in it. Of course it's more vulnerable because hackers know it's the most used browser and they know that making a virus for IE will infect more people.

Same about Linux. why is it safer? Hackers won't lose their time making a virus for it when they can infect +80% of PCs with Windows.

This is exactly what I have been telling folk for ages – IE8 on vista/windows 7 is extremely effective because of the sandboxes these combinations have.

As long as you don't disable UAC, IE8 runs in protected mode on Vista and Windows 7, which is a sandbox. Chrome/chromium has a built in sandbox so UAC isn't required for it.

Most people thought I was mad.
