Add Collaboration Features to Windows 7 with Shared View

SharedView is a Microsoft Collaboration product that you can download at no cost. You can connect with up to 15 people in different locations showing them what’s on your screen. It is Sharepoint very, very lite. This is a real time collaborative product. You need a Windows Live ID to start the sessions. You can invite others to join you.

  • Sharing an application or desktop
  • Previewing what attendees will see
  • Pointing and highlighting
  • Taking control
  • Tracking results in Word

Here is the installation procedure:

Click the Run option to begin the installation process

Accept the license agreement…and begin.

When the installation is complete...this screen will appear.

Run the program…click one of the SharedView icons.

Details about the session appear...your session name is the most important item.

Once the details are available…you can now start a collaborative session by inviting others.
