Microsoft Releases Tinker Via Games For Windows Live
We have informed you about Microsoft’s plans to release the Windows Vista Ultimate games that have not made it into the Windows 7 release in the past. Microsoft has kept their promise and added one of the games to Games for Windows Live where it can be downloaded for free.
Tinker is a puzzle game for the entire family that comes with 60 levels in total. A Windows Live account is required to download the game which is not only available for Windows 7 users but also to Windows XP and Windows Vista users. The Games for Windows Live client can be downloaded at this link that points to the Microsoft website.

It is necessary to log into the software with a Windows Live account afterwards. New users will need to fill out some additional information that include their name and address before they can download the free game for Windows. The game itself does not seem to have changed at all.
Being a small robot isn’t always easy….So, imagine being a robot marooned in a surreal landscape of obscure mechanisms and brain-teasing puzzles. He’ll go where you tell him to go – but will your directions lead him home or leave him trapped?

Will be interesting to see how Windows Vista Ultimate users react on this. The size of the game is 59 Megabytes.

As a (former) Vista Ultimate purchaser and user, I find it incredibly annoying — but then, I'd already copied Tinker from my Vista machine to my 7 machine.
