Now we’ve had Windows 7 launch parties and Windows 7 Whoopers, well now we’ve got something new. A Fifth Grader singing “Windows Rising” to the tune of CCR ” Bad Moon Rising “!
Now normally when talent shows are on, Kids perform a dance or song, well 10 Year Old Will Smith decided to make a pitch for Windows 7 instead. In his song he outlines some of the new features in Windows 7 such as the new task bar and how easy it is to use. In his chorus he even encourages users to switch from XP to Windows 7.

Microsoft send this kid a free copy of Windows 7 or a PC or something! The guys over at TechFlash were kind enough to make contact with Carolyn Smith from Texas, Wills mother. Surprisingly enough he’s a huge Microsoft Fan, and even dressed up as Bill Gates a Halloween ago, complete with a replicated blue screen of death on his back!
He’d been testing out Windows 7 leading up to this years talent show and decided that he’d write a song about Windows 7 and spent the better part of a weekend doing it. When Will was asked about his favorite feature in Windows 7, he said it was the new task bar. He has also upgraded all four of the family computers to Windows 7.
Will said that when he grows up, he would love to work at Geek Squad or as a programmer for Microsoft. I’m sure that whenever he applies to Microsoft with this on his CV, they would hire him there and then!
