I don't whant to split my children's world into black and white or just "allowed", "not allowed". I suppose, that some things CAN be done, but not during the whole day, so I prefer not to block, but to limit access to some sites and applications. I don't use the described type of parent control - it's too simple. I have a special programm, called Time Boss (unfortunately it works in Explorer only), but it's just cool. I can set even small limits, like 15 mins or so. I advice everyone to try it (http://www.nicekit.com/) .

hey robert, you should try using snag-it for your screen grabs. that way you don't end with your hand drawn red circle. snag-it is a great program for that kind of thing.
