If any of our lucky readers happen to be living in the small town of Zevenhuizen ( Seven Houses ) in the Netherlands, you may have a free copy of Windows 7 coming your way.
Microsoft Netherlands is giving away 777 free copies of their latest operating system to the town, which is located about 7 miles northeast of Rotterdam. Very appropriate that a town so closely linked with the number “7″ should be eligible to receive 777 free copies of Windows 7, and not only that, but they can get them before the 22nd October.

Windows enthusiast who sign up at http://www.zevenhuizengaatover.nl/ can get a free copy of Windows 7 Ultimate ( English Edition ) with a licence key for 1 PC. What’s more you can install it yourself, bring your PC in to be installed, have Microsoft collect your PC and install it or Microsoft will even, send out a technician to install it for you, free of charge. As well as all that they will back up your data, and reinstall Live Programs and Microsoft Security Essentials.
The requirements are that you must be a resident in Zevenhuizen and also be running a copy of a Windows as your primary OS ( Sorry Mac and Linux Users ). You are also only eligible if you pass the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and Microsoft Employees and people under 18 are excluded from this offer.
Signing up on the website ends tomorrow but you can still sign up in person until the 20th Of October. Copy’s of Windows 7 will be installed from the 13th October – 23rd October 2009. More than a week before Windows 7 is released to the General Public.
Microsoft claim that over 200,000 people have used pre-release editions of Windows 7 in the Netherlands, and now its time for them to market the final RTM to the 6,000 people in Zevenhuiven. They also say there could be more to come. Microsoft are really using the number “7″ as a main part of their advertisements and promotions. They’ve used it in this campaign in Zevenhuizen and again in the Twitter Campaign as well as many others.
