Then in Windows Vista we saw an additional feature which is essentially the same thing but it gives you a nice 3D image of the open Windows. This can be accessed by Windows Key+Tab and is called Aero Flip. [...]

There is a simple fix to the multiple monitor problem. If you have snapped a window to one side of the monitor. You can just use the Windows key and the arrows to snap the other window to the other side.

Unfortunately not, all of the aero features require your graphics card to support shader model 2. You can still do things like aero snap, but the transition etc will be less smooth and will also not be a transparent window border like with true aero.

Out of interest, what graphics card do you have?

The left/right split part of Aero Snap doesn't work the way you would expect it to on multmonitor setups. Drag one window to the left side of the left monitor, and it maximizes it to take up half of the left monitor, try to drag another window to the right hand side of the monitor and you get nothing. You have to drag it to the right hand side of the right monitor. But then when you do that, it maximizes that window to take up half of the right monitor, so you get a half view of your desktop in between the two, not to mention the split of your actual monitors cutting that in half. Talk about annoying!
