Amazon must have had one of their busiest weeks ever. Not only have they virtually sold out of every Michael Jackson album, but the Windows 7 Pre-orders have shot to the top of the bestsellers charts. Orders for other Windows 7 editions are also doing well.
Since Friday, users from the United States, Canada and Japan have been able to pre-order Windows 7. Users from Great Britain, France and Germany will have to wait until mid July before they can start pre-ordering the operating system. Interested users from the three countries can currently purchase Windows 7 Home Premium for $49.99 instead of $119.99 and Windows 7 Professional for $99.99 instead of $199.99.
Microsoft has made the decision to not offer a pre-ordering discount for Windows 7 Ultimate which is something that caused some concern with users who would like to purchase this edition of the upcoming operating system.
Here are the links to the pre-order pages at Amazon in case you would like to place a pre-order. Microsoft said the offer will end once a certain number of units are sold, so given the success so far, if you haven’t ordered yet you might need to hurry up:
- United States
- Canada
