It works will so far, caught some trojan virus that I know was in a megaupload download that Avira AntiVir Personal also got.
Its worth a look and its base on OneCare.

“users of the leak could be advised to keep their current version and those who do not have MSE already may wish to obtain the leaked copy.”

Alternatively, people might want to consider using the build that Microsoft established to be stable and released as a beta. A later build number doesn’t always mean better build. Actually, the idea of using a leaked version of a security program just seems remarkably stupid to me….

UK users cannot use this from the official MSE Page, because they aren’t officially supported – and have to go directly to MS connect if they want the official version.
