The advisor appears not to like Ich5r 82810ep sata port used by many manufacturers. Tells you you cant move to windows 7. I hope someone has solved this as I don't want to have to buy yet another mother board

If this is ne thing like the Windows Vista upgrade tool, its worthless. When I used it last I have a AMD Phenom X4 9850 2.5ghz quad core, a geforce 9800GTX 512mb and 2x2gb DDR2 PC2-8500 OCZ ram... I was recommended to use Vista Basic.

To be honest guys, I don't think theres a computer out there (which could run XP at a decent level) that will strugle with 7, I have it running on my old 1.4ghz (single core) Celeron laptop with Intel chipset and 1gb + 256mb DDR ram and it works fine without Aero (my chipset won't support Aero).

Ok, just giving the upgrade beta a whirl on my power desktop, reliesing now its not like the Vista version which recommends you a package type. It gets the 4 ticks (processor, HDD space, RAM and Aero Capable), its Windows 7 ready...
