We asked you when you’d buy Windows 7 in our last poll. We received more than 2500 votes with the majority saying that they would be buying it on the day it comes out (34%) or within a month after its official release (31%). That’s 65% of all voters that will buy the new operating system more or less immediately. Another 13% will buy it withing three months of launch. 11% said they would be waiting for the first service pack and switch to Windows 7 then while 6% said they would never buy it. The remaining 5% decided to trust their mates and buy it when they said it would be time to buy.

That’s an impressive result for the next Microsoft operating system even though the question has been asked on a Windows website. It would not make sense to ask Apple or Linux users on the other hand when they would be going to buy Windows 7 as their answer would be more often than not never.
The new poll which you can find when you scroll down to the bottom and look in the right sidebar wants to know the system you are going to install Windows 7 on after you purchase it. Will it be a desktop computer, laptop, netbook or virtual system? You can post the hardware specs here in the comments if you like so that we can discuss them.
