Some major Windows 7 announcements can be expected in the coming weeks according to a British PC magazine which referred to a speech held by Microsoft Windows OEM manager Laurence Painell at a briefing at Microsoft’s London headquarter on Thursday. While Painell did not go into further details what those announcements would be rumors began to spread that they could be related to the official Windows 7 release date.
The release candidate of the operating system is expected to be released to testers and the public in April or May 2009 with estimates ranging from April 10 as the earliest release date to the beginning of May with a release at the end of April being the most likely scenario at this moment.
