Windows 7 Aero Snap

The Engineering Windows 7 blog has an interesting article up about the new Aero Snap feature of Windows 7. For those who do not know Aero Snap it is a new feature of Windows 7 that can be used to manage windows in the Windows operating system. It can for example be used to move windows to the right or left side of the screen to resize them automatically so that they fit half the screen of the computer monitor.

The post over at the blog looks at the functionality but also the history of the design process itself mentioning and showing early prototype builds, sketches and storyboards that have all been used to create the feature which has been implemented in the end.

It is a long article. Many users will probably feel that it is way to long but if you are into engineering and coding you might want to read it thoroughly as it reveals interesting information about the design process.
