Windows 7 Beta To Be Released On January 9

It is finally official. After a period of heavy speculations when the Windows 7 Beta would be released to the public the final date of the Windows 7 beta release has been published by the Windows 7 Dev Team. Windows 7 Beta will be released publicly on January 9 at the official Microsoft Windows 7 website. MSDN subscriber and Technet subscribers can download the beta of Windows 7 already.

It has to be noted that the Windows 7 Beta will be made available for a limited time to 2.5 million downloaders only. If you want it you have to be fast to grab your copy before downloads close again.

The Windows 7 beta will be supplied as a 32-bit or 64-bit ISO image of Windows 7 Ultimate which has to be burned to DVD before it can be installed. It can also be used to run the system on a virtual machine. Windows Vista SP1 or higher users can upgrade their operating system to Windows 7 Beta although that is only recommended for test environments. The Beta will expire on August 1st, 2009.
