German computer magazine WinFuture published a few Windows 7 Beta screenshots on their website which show no apparent changes when compared to the previous (leaked) builds like build Windows 7 build 6956 which was the build used by Microsoft at the WinHEC 2009 conference in Beijing.
It is very likely that Microsoft did concentrate on stability and driver support in the beta release to avoid bad news about incompatible drivers and system crashes. They also got their hands on a localized German edition of the Windows 7 beta and noted that Microsoft has not finished localizing the editions yet.

It is very likely that you will not notice many difference to the WinHEC build either when the Windows 7 beta will be officially released by Microsoft. Is the lack of “new” features bothering you? Let us know.
