Microsoft has big plans for the ongoing PDC 08 conference. The company will not only present its upcoming operating system Windows 7 to the public but also the server version Windows Server 2008 R2. Participants of the conference will receive both a M3 release build of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. The news has not been made official yet. It is likely that Microsoft will make the announcement later this day.
Some features of Windows Server 2008 R2 have already been mentioned previously including Hyper-V Version 2, Live Migration of running virtual machines to another server, no 32-bit support for Windows Server 2008 R2 and an interface redesign.
