Hi,
I own a mid size business that uses PC's for 75% of it's client communication. We have always tried to stay on the cutting edge of the technology spectrum ever since we were established (1992). When I got word that Windows Vista was coming to the market, i was excited. When the finished product came to the market I was extremely disappointed. You see, I bought a computer with Windows Vista. The reliability of this operating system is horrendous. Vista seems to want to do everything for itself and I have no control over it. For example: the programs that we need to run seem to require administrative credentials in vista and I don't have the option of ignoring this. And even if Vista were to meet my expectations, Microsoft has implimented "Volume Activation 2.0" which requires you to activate even volume licensed versions of Vista. When we purchase software in volume licensing, it means that we manage the licenses ourselves. We are the administrators of the licensing and we should not need to activate it like the consumer version does. We should be able to use the software however we see fit, even if the software doesn't do what it is supposed to do; because we paid for it. And finally, if at one point we decide to update our computers to Vista, it should be a simple roll-out update, not a update, activating every single computer in our company, then deal with the compatibility issues. My suggestion to the Windows 7 team is to do away with product activation on volume licensing, if you haven't already. I know many other I.T. staff that feels the same way I do about Vista and will not buy it on count of that.

I wanna know something about this new OS <WIndows7> :
1.It will be somekind of Windows Vista upgraded but with another title ?
2. If will be realeased this Win 7 on year 2010 it will be the first OS from Microsoft career which will have all drivers and needs for Microsoft clients ? I mean it will require those after Service Packs like XP (SP1,2,3) , Vista (SP1,2) or will be completed/finalized for good and forever ?
3. Why OS Vista AIO and older versions of Windows were from the beginning cracked from hackers? Where is that protection which was promised to us? If this protection doesn't seems to be efficient why do you ask for this expensive price on your products ?
4. Why don't you create an encryption system in an alien/invented language that could not be broken by anyone from this planet but you ? This way Your Products could be broken only be you .

This means that to the 1000 developers 1000 testers and 500 program managers are working on Windows 7. Now those are numbers calculated from the numbers given in the article. Those are also only the development numbers.
