Wow, hey kids, the recess bell just rang!
LMFAO
I WORK for Apple computers and I think BOTH OS's have their separate uses - so for this whole argument you could rant on and on but will get back to the exact one point: Mac's AND Windows are one and the same - A COMPUTER.
So EVERYONE needs to get over themselves.
And that's coming straight from an APLLE EMPLOYEE. LOL.

Haha, dick/Richard, hilarious. I do agree that this is no contest, I think it is kind of weird how defensive both Windows users and Mac users are of there own operating system. As a true computer enthusiast, I try to not get hung up on a single OS. My personal opinion is that Windows is the norm, and people resist change. In the same breath I think that each operating system has it's own place. Windows has the place of, most every one has experience in it, and it is fairly easy to use. Mac has the "latest greatest" thing going for them, and all the "younger generation" bringing it up, if I may say. But just the same I have a soft spot for Linux, even though Linux enthusiasts have the same "mightier then thou" mentality. So pretty much my opinion is, PC’s are for work, Mac’s are for play, and Linux is a sweet hobby.

Isn't Dick another name for Richard? Coincidence??? Probably not in this case. I agree with Matt. I use Windows but wouldn't mind checking out a Mac some day. I really don't think there's a need to get nasty about it, though.

You sound like the kind of person thats never used a Mac. I would suggest you reframe from typing on your keyboard for a while. Mac and Microsoft are completely different. I've used both for many many years and both OS are great for different applications. IMO Macs are more reliable for professional multimedia applications whilst Windows is great for setting up networks, playing games. Both are fine for personal use.

Wow. You turned an argument into an asshole I-have-a-bigger-dick contest. You must be proud of yourself now. If you weren't so full of yourself you might have actually presented a good argument. The only things that I have taken away from you, Richard, is that Mac users think of themselves as far superior. You think any argument or words put against Mac is an attack on you personally. So you then proceed to attack the person's life first and foremost, then nibble at the argument. You didn't really argue anything, all I read was "I'm better than you because..." and "I have a bigger dick because..." Get over yourself, you are just the typical Mac user, but with the mentality of a child.

You did mention iPods and MCSE study guides. I never said anything about those. But since you brought them up I might as well do the same. You are right. iPods are the reason the world's PMP market has exploded. But I don't have a Zune or an iPod, I've got one that in my opinion is better than both in a lot of ways. I don't know where you pulled that argument from, and why you brought it into this argument, just extra information I guess to make you feel better about yourself. As for MCSE certs, I don't bother with those. They are not my thing, I am not smart enough for them. For what I am doing and going for, I have no reason to have or care about them.

As for touching the Data Center Server, you're right again, I haven't touched it. Who cares? I sure don't.

Get your head out of your ass old man, you fail at life.

To quote Mr. Hamrick: "compared to windows, mac has worthless functionality and infrastructure. Yea apple has the iphone and whatever animal they are naming their current os, but microsoft has windows mobile, windows, servers, exchange servers, unbeatable office apps. The only thing mac has over windows are creative suites and eyecandy, thats it."

You must be ignorant for a multitude of reasons (which I will explain here):
-For starters, "Eye Candy" is 2 words, not 1... Sorry.
-The Windows family of operating systems still around for one reason and one alone... It was forcibly adopted upon the market. Brilliant marketing DOES NOT mean a more stable OS... Sorry. The Mac interface is far superior to anything in the windows family, with the exception of Data Center Server, but I bet that you've never had a chance to touch that...Â
-Believe it or not, I am running the new Windows 7 on my mac (a neat little thing called VMWare) and I am also running it on a Dell workstation with all the latest and greatest. Ya want to know what? The windows instance on my mac is more stable than the one on the generic PC. Who would have thought?Â

Listen kid, get your face out of your MCSE study guide for a second and take the time to see what the mac really has to offer.Â

OH! By the way, the iPod is not just a toy, it is being used WORLDWIDE and is the STANDARD for portable music players. The iPod has outsold Microsoft's Zune  since it's inception.Â

Get a job kid, you suck at life.Â

- iphone beats windows mobile
- OS X beats windows
- Mac servers do exist
- Mac email servers run sendmail, which is used a lot more than exchange
- the office apps you're talking about also run on Macs
- the creative suites you're talking about run better on Macs
- fonts render better on Macs
- Macs are built on the best core (UNIX) in the world and they have the best GUI as well

Basically, since switching to a Mac, things don't crash anymore, memory is much better utilized, the system is a lot faster... life just better.

compared to windows, mac has worthless functionality and infrastructure. Yea apple has the iphone and whatever animal they are naming their current os, but microsoft has windows mobile, windows, servers, exchange servers, unbeatable office apps. The only thing mac has over windows are creative suites and eyecandy, thats it.
